It was a day of revelations.
At lunch time a Japanese teacher came over to me with a comic 'manga' they had taken from a female 7th grade student. I only understood why it was confiscated when I started flipping through it. Graphic hard core porn, well represented visually and verbally was laid out on each page. Kama Sutra aint got nothing on those manga characters. I had to laugh because naive that I am I somehow did not think my students would be interested in such materials. Then I upbraided myself, of course they would be, what teen isn't?
Her homeroom teacher - a male was blushing all kinda ways and apologizing about how sorry he was - strange but that's the culture.
This was a prelude it seems into the adventures that captivates teens all over. I was teaching my grade nines when a young man had to continually interrupt me to run across to the bathroom because of the runs. After further inquisition by yours truly, he made me to know that is drink of choice is beer. My response was you are too young to start messing up your life already. I passed on the information to his homeroom teacher.
